Robert Stalberger, DVM

Veterinarian

A Cedar Falls native and 1987 graduate of Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Robert Stalberger came to Decorah immediately after graduation. He joined Decorah Veterinary Clinic and became a partner in 1990. Since that time, he has been involved in mixed animal practice in and around the Decorah area. Most of his practice time is spent on dairy herd health visits, beef herd production, dairy goat consultation, and sale barn inspection and processing. He enjoys small animal practice when time allows.

Dr. Bob and his wife Marianne, live east of Decorah on an acreage. Marianne is a long-time employee of Winneshiek Medical Center and works in Same Day Surgery. They have three children, Jackson, Martin, and Shelby. In their spare time, you may find them perched on a sandbar in the Mississippi River North of Lansing.

 Jerry Robinson, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Jerry Robinson joined Decorah Veterinary Clinic in the fall of 1994 after he graduated from Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. He enjoys the variety of a mixed animal practice. As companion animal surgery and medicine has become more of an emphasis for the practice, Dr. Robinson finds more of his time devoted to these specialties. However, he still welcomes the challenges provided by dairy farm calls and various large animal emergencies. Dr. Robinson is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Robinson lives on the outskirts of Decorah with his wife, Amy (a native of Decorah), their three sons Sam, Charlie, and Will, their cat Nacho, and dog Allie. When away from the office, Dr. Robinson spends the majority of his time participating in family activities.

Mark Jaehnig, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Mark Jaehnig graduated from the University of Minnesota Veterinary School in 1992. He practiced mixed animal medicine in Wisconsin and the Preston/Lanesboro Minnesota area before moving to Decorah. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, the Decorah Lions Club, and the First Lutheran Church.

Dr. Mark lives in Decorah with his wife Christine who is a pre-school teacher at the Montessori school. They have three grown children, two daughters, Alexandra and Phillipa and a son, Bjorn. When not working with animals, Dr. Mark enjoys reading, music, cooking, bicycling and hiking. He was born in Wisconsin, raised in central Washington state, went to college in Maryland and milked cows in Maine. After living in seven different states, Dr. Mark feels that Decorah is the best place he has lived.
